Gorton Ukes

Gorton Ukes is a local community ukulele group that meets at Trinity Baptist Church. It's led by Wayne Clarke, the pastor of the church, though we all work together.
The group meets on Tuesdays at 3pm in the back room of Trinity Baptist Church.
For an hour we start from the basics of holding, strumming and playing the uke, having fun learning to play the uke together. Absolutely no previous knowledge of the instrument or any music is assumed.
We've got a supply of ukuleles, so you can you don't need your own instrument - though you can bring one if you have it. There's no charge for coming to the group, though we hope those who attend will commit to being there regularly.
The group is aimed at people aged over 50 and is part of The Vine, a free facility at Trinity Baptist Church which offers a Warm Welcome space, free drinks and cake and other activities from 2pm every Tuesday.
